Join Advocacy members at 11 am Sunday, September 22, to honor former Mankato resident and Wacipi committee member, Dave Brave Heart. Dave was dedicated to all efforts of reconciliation and education for Mankato, including the recognition of Indigenous Peoples Day, and helping establish a land acknowledgment for the City of Mankato. The memorial feast is part of the 52nd Annual Traditional Mahkato Wacipi, honoring the 38 Dakota. It takes place at Dakota Wokisuye Makoce (Land of Memories Park).
