Attendees meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Centenary UMC parking lot and shares rides to/from the destination for the day.
What is Nature Church?
Nature Church promotes experiencing nature as “church” & lets Creation speak!
Gatherings include a 1-mile silent hike in a local park; 25 minutes of silent, outdoor meditation; sharing of insights; Communion; re-earthing (a ritual involving clay); and discussion on the return hike. Seating pads and small, portable camping stools are available for use during seated meditation. Participants should wear clothes appropriate for the weather, and bring your own water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray (if you wish.)
