Centenary, like any body informed in world affairs, is concerned for issues of health and poverty. Locally, we support the Open Door Health Clinic, take our turns at the Salvation Army to provide healthy noon meals, assist with crisis support through our People in Need Fund, and we take regular offerings for the Echo Food Shelf.
Globally, we support Doctors without Borders, the Kissy Eye Clinic in Sierra Leone, Nothing But Nets, among others less well known.
Each year we send a work team south for Katrina Recovery. Our Youth and others join to seal bags of nutrition through Kids Against Hunger. Many of our hands are at work each year to provide school kits, medical kits, and crisis recovery kits for world distribution.
Every Sunday, for 52 weeks, we name a mission project, learn about it and add our support in some way, through what we call Special Offerings.
