Centenary United Methodist Church
Home  How to Serve  Chance to Give Greening

There are many ways each of us can help better the lives and conditions of others whether close to home or on the opposite side of the earth.  Centenary works through the missions of the United Methodist Church to respond to needs wherever they may arise.  Visit the sites listed below for more information on projects we support.

Each week, Centenary receives an offering for a mission project as chosen by the Outreach Committee.

Here are the upcoming projects:

Here are a few links that will lead you to such opportunities.  Some are officially affiliated with the United Methodist Church, others are not.

The United Methodist Church has a long tradition of reaching out to those in need.  Coordinating much of that work is United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).  Whether it's assisting with hurricane and flood relief, or dealing with unexpected human tragedy resulting from food shortages, UMCOR is there.  Read about UMCOR at its website.

This site will speak for itself.  Everyday millions of children and adults are potential malaria victims.  Here's a vehicle for all of us to help.  Centenary will be participating in a Conference-wide promotion for "Imagine No Malaria" this fall.

Centenary is a member of the Mankato Area Fair Trade Innitiative. To read more about MAFTI visit www.mafti.org

Centenary is in covenant with two organizations:

The Center for Victims of Torture, www.cvt.org

Your gift to U.S. Disaster Response, UMCOR Advance #901670, supports UM Committee on Relief’s efforts before, during, and after an emergency caused by flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, or other catastrophic events in the United States.
