Music Ministry

Centenary has many opportunities for those who love music.  If you would like to join your voice with others, play in the handbell choir, or showcase your in a number of other ways, call the church office at 507.387.4074 and we’ll connect you with the appropriate director.

Sanctuary Choir

This choir performs a variety of classical and contemporary anthems during our 9:00 a.m. worship service on Sundays.  They meet for rehearsal from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from September through May.  Under the direction of Jerusha Zimmerman, and accompanied by Craig Timmerman, this choir is open to adults college age and older. For our budding musicians, director Jerusha Zimmerman creates an enjoyable experience of singing  for those in grades 1-6.  Rehearsals are from 5:30-6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays from September through May.

The Grace and Power Bell Choir

Interested in some enjoyable and challenging handbell ringing?  Director Martha Lindberg leads the choir through seasonal bell choir selections.  The choir rehearses from 6:3o-7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from September through May, and performs periodically as scheduled during our 9:00 a.m. worship service on Sundays.

Friends & Family

Every Sunday Centenary’s own praise band provides music leadership at the 10:45 a.m. worship service.  Friends & Family provides an upbeat contemporary approach to worship.  Friends & Family have produced a number of professional CDs, offering the proceeds to Centenary’s People in Need outreach ministry.
