Children/Youth Ministries

At Centenary Church, our ministry with Children, Youth, and Families, focuses on nurturing children on their spiritual journey with faith and love.   We stretch and grow our faith through relationships, music, drama, science, cooking, and more on Sunday Mornings and on  Open Circle Wednesday nights.  We deeply value each child and their God given gifts, graces, and challenges by providing programming that engages  a wide variety of learning styles.  Above all, we foster a relational ministry between parents, children, leaders, and the community.

Sunday Morning Faith Formation Offered at 9am and 10:45 am services

Children ages 3yrs- 5th grade are invited to join us for Faith Formation.  Following the Children’s Moments, children are dismissed from worship and head to the Faith Formation class.  Through music, stories, crafts, games, and conversation, children engage the stories of the Bible and learn how their faith is a part of their every day life.  Parents are asked to pick up their children following the worship service.

Open Circle Wednesday

Wednesday nights are great for community at Centenary.  Join us between 5:00-6:00 p.m. for a delicious and affordable community meal.  At 6:00 p.m. we gather for a casual, midweek worship service.  At 6:30, children ages preschool- 5th grade attend Holy Moly!  Holy Moly is a fun way to jump into the Bible story.  We watch a video and then engage the story with fun activities including science, games, drama, music and more.  If you like to get messy, dream big, have a flair for the dramatic, or just enjoy having fun, Holy Moly is just right for you!

Extras

Throughout the year we also offer a variety of opportunities for children and youth of all ages including our Christmas Program, Mini-Camps, Camp, Family Nights, and more.

Youth Ministry

Centenary’s GOFISH Youth Ministry is open to youth in 6th-12th grades.  They meet primarily on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Friends are always welcome.  The youth group focuses on how to live out our calling as Christians in the world.  There is a focus on issues of social justice, mission, and service locally and globally. We do this through Bible studies, games, mission opportunities, and community.
